Thursday before the MotoGP Catalan GP was an emotional day for Aleix Espargaró. The rider will compete in his home round for the last time as he plans to retire from full-time racing at the end of this season.
The announcement was made during a special press conference at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Attendees included not only journalists but also fellow riders and Espargaró’s family.
During the event, the Aprilia rider took the opportunity to express his gratitude, acknowledging the key people who have supported him throughout his nearly 20-year career in world championships.
