The GSX-8R was unveiled today at the 2023 edition of EICMA in Milan, Italy, yet another model to be born based on the platform presented a year ago at the same event.
After the presentation in 2022 of the V-Strom 800DE and GSX-8S, which were joined this year by the standard version of the V-Stom 800, this is the latest model to join this family, contributing to the diversification of the brand’s range.
A new era of sports bikes
The new GSX-8R shows us an exciting new expression of what we expect from a sports bike: passion, performance and riding pleasure. Controllable, agile and designed to satisfy in any type of use, whether in the city or on the most winding mountain roads; in daily use or on weekend rides.
As part of the GSX-S family, the GSX-8R nevertheless has a sporty image that anticipates a high level of riding pleasure, evidenced by the combination of its aggressive lines and flat surfaces, which give it an elegant, balanced and perfectly proportioned look.
It is powered by the same 776cc twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree crankshaft offset, already known from previous models, which guarantees exemplary performance from the lowest revs and contributes to its sporty performance, always free of vibrations due to the patented “Suzuki Cross Balancer”.
Added to this are a host of features, such as its robust frame, new steering advances for a sportier riding position, Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) SFF-BP inverted front suspension, radial-mount brake calipers, Full LED lighting and 5″ color TFT dashboard and an advanced technology package, all of which make the GSX-8R a sports bike destined to show the way to a new era of riding pleasure.
