Pedro Acosta is navigating his debut season in MotoGP with a mix of ambition and the realism of needing to adapt. In 2024, the rider will be competing for GasGas Tech3 after clinching the Moto2 title this year.
During an interview with Telediario on RTVE, the Spanish rider mentioned that he is staying grounded before the debut: ‘Many people have high expectations, many people expect a lot. We need to take it slow and give time to learn, which will also be important. I expect a lot more, but it’s important to take it step by step’.
Despite emphasizing this approach and acknowledging that he has a lot to do before being competitive, Acosta sent a warning to the competition: ‘I like to be aggressive on and off the track. The «Tiburón de Mazarrón» [«Mazarrón’s Shark»] doesn’t take prisoners and didn’t come here to make friends’.
