Marc Márquez moves to Gresini this year in the MotoGP World Championship, hoping to return to competitiveness – albeit also aware that the task won’t be easy, having to adapt to a new bike – the Ducati – after a decade with Honda.
Mattia Pasini told MOW Mag: ‘It will be a huge challenge for him. It could be a great success, but also the exact opposite: for someone like him, who moved to Ducati after saying for several years that it’s the best bike…’.
The Italian believes that expectations for Márquez are high, and the rider will try to meet them despite strong opposition: ‘In my opinion, an eight-time world champion is expected to at least win, not just finish in the top five. Otherwise, in my opinion, it’s not very justifiable. He will try to win, but the others won’t stand idly by’.
