The Barcelona circuit will be another new challenge for Pedro Acosta on a MotoGP bike. He faces it this weekend at the Catalunya GP, after five rounds in which he has shown a quick ability to learn each of the tracks.
Asked about turn one at Barcelona and whether arriving there faster than in previous years required any special briefing different from other rounds, the rookie replied: ‘It’s the same as when I went to Malaysia for the first time, when I went to Qatar‘.
For Acosta, the most important thing will be to have a good starting position and take advantage of it, aware that it has not been his best aspect, ruling out that the rest will be different:
– Ultimately, it won’t be easy if we start from the back of the grid. So, we will try to have a good qualifying, we will try to have a good start, because we are improving in this area, and maybe it is our worst point at the moment. The others arrive as fast as you, so it will be more or less the same.
