Jorge Martín ended the first day of practice for the Le Mans GP in first position. The Spanish rider set a new record for fastest lap at the French circuit and proved to be at the highest level for the rest of the weekend.
In a debrief, the Prima Pramac Racing driver spoke about the sensations of the first day at Le Mans.
– I can’t remember the last time I was first in both sessions. I think we made good changes and improved our base. I’m very happy, now we have to figure out where we can go faster and see what we can achieve.
Asked where to improve his bike, Martín replied: ‘A bit on the geometry of the bike and the balance, it’s working very well. I’m happy because I did 25 laps with the same tires and I was in the low thirty-first minute, so it’s good for the race. It will be essential to work on the points where we lose the most because we’re all very close together. I saw that Pecco was strong and so was Enea, Marc and maybe Pedro, I don’t know, we’ll see.
