The brand’s Monolock line features top cases with an Urban connotation, equipped as standard with a plate and fixing kit and dedicated to the world of scooters and small/medium-sized motorcycles.
Three of the models in the range have recently been updated, not only from an aesthetic point of view, to return to the market with a new look.
We’re talking about the K355, K400 and K466 models, similar top cases in terms of technical equipment and different in terms of internal capacity, 35, 40 and 46 liters respectively. A detailed analysis is presented in the following paragraphs.
In the last year, Kappa has introduced several new features to its range and made important changes to some existing proposals, showing a clear desire to improve the functionality of its products and reduce their environmental impact, both in terms of the production process and packaging.
These changes also involved three Monolock bags, dedicated mainly to those who ride two wheels in metropolitan areas: K355, K400 and K466.
A crucial aspect for Kappa is to offer the end user the possibility of customizing the products, for example by matching them to the color of their vehicle. For this reason, the front covers of the three top cases – the front inserts with the logo, to be clear – are no longer painted in metallic colors, but are supplied in black, just as they come out of the mold. This option allows users to “personalize” them by painting them as they wish.
Another important detail concerns the inside of the reflector. The three top boxes are equipped with a front reflector, single in the case of the K355 and K466, and double in the case of the K400.
Until now, the inside of this part featured a silver polyethylene insert that reflected the light, but this thin insert is unfortunately subject to easy wear over time. To solve this problem, the inside of the reflector has now been painted silver chrome, both in the version with the red reflector (N2) and the smoked reflector (NT2), thus ensuring greater resistance and durability.
