After the extraordinary commercial success of the TRK 502, the arrival of the TRK 702, which immediately showed signs of market appreciation, now the even more generous version is presented to the public at the recent Beijing Motor Show. The TRK 902, which will be produced in two versions, the X more off-road, with spoked wheels and a 19″ front, and the road version with alloy wheels and a 17″ front (for both 17″), is equipped with a 904 cc twin-cylinder engine.
In the technical data sheet presented during the Beijing exhibition in China, 77 kW (104 hp) at 9,000 rpm and 90 Nm of maximum torque at 6500 rpm are indicated. There is also a 24-liter fuel tank, a seat height of 825 mm, a wheelbase of 1540 mm, Brembo brakes, Marzocchi forks and shocks, and a 7-inch TFT instrument panel.
If this TRK 902 really reaches the European market and Portugal, as we believe it will, it will be a decidedly appreciable, acceptable, and suitable addition to Benelli’s range for our market, which occasionally shows itself capable of appreciating motorcycles like this. But nothing is guaranteed, and the overlap with other models from the QJ Motor group must be taken into account. It will be interesting to discover the commercial policy of the large Chinese group behind various brands, all while waiting for Eicma.
