The last GP in France, on Sunday, had in Álex Rins the sole rider to score and still just one point, as Fabio Quartararo, on a good position, crashed. Still that wasn’t a ‘easy race’ for the spaniard, said Massimo Meregalli, even more due to a penalty.
‘Álex on the other hand had a far from easy race, with problems on braking and some sliding – and it was made even more difficult by a long-lap penalty. He was not comfortable with the bike’s set-up he tried this weekend, so he will reset and make a fresh start again’, the italian said on a team statement.
The Spaniard, who is having his first season with Yamaha also had some problems on Saturday and didn’t end his Sprint race, where he crashed.
