On the verge of losing the possibilities of staying in MotoGP in 2024, Fabio Di Giannantonio never wanted another alternative. Many riders in recent years have transitioned to the World Superbike Championship, but it was not something he intended.
At 25 years old, the rider ended up finding an alternative, continuing in the pack with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team after winning his first victory in the premier class at the Qatar GP last year.
Before securing this spot, Di Giannantonio never considered leaving MotoGP of his own free will and seeking alternatives, aware of his value to continue, as he stated to the championship’s website:
– I went through a moment where it was “MotoGP or nothing.” I only wanted this; I am a MotoGP rider, I have the skills, and I have the level to be a MotoGP rider, so leaving was never a possibility for me. But I think that even with the bad moments, we made history in some way.
