Gino Borsoi recently spoke about the situation of Prima Pramac Racing in keeping the Ducati bikes in the upcoming years. In statements for the Motorsport podcast “Por Orejas,” he talked about the possibilities of everything being defined for the next season at the Mugello GP.
– It’s not up to me to say, it’s really Gigi Dall’Igna who makes the decisions and the timing. Mugello will be the end point of what the Ducati decision will be. As for Gigi and Domenicali, they are obviously waiting for this “dead line” to finally decide what will happen with their team. From there, several scenarios will open up: Pramac for 2025, which riders will they have? What bike will they have? I have to tell the truth, Campinotti and I do not want to leave Ducati. There was some friction at the beginning of the season, but over time everything returned to normal. Obviously, everything that will happen in Mugello with this decision can tip the scales one way or the other.
He also added about Jorge Martín’s relationship with Ducati: ‘If he is offered an official contract with Ducati, if we go back to the original project where Pramac is where riders are born and grow, are trained and then move to the official team. It is obvious that I cannot tell Jorge that it is not the right path, it is the path that all riders have to follow. Jorge is in a perfect moment, last year he fought until the last race and this year he has improved his times from the first minute and is leading the World Championship standings with a 39-point advantage over the others: Bastianini, Marquez, and Pecco.’
