Fabio Quartararo may have retired from the French MotoGP Grand Prix, but until the incident that determined the outcome, he had a good pace, fighting in the top ten – which he has only managed to achieve once this year.
It is in this context that the Monster Energy Yamaha rider now faces the Catalan GP… arriving in Barcelona with news on the Yamaha YZR-M1, as he told:
– After the private test in Mugello, we established an aerodynamics version that we will try to use here this weekend. I am interested to see how it will be. We will certainly do our best, as always.
With high motivation, Quartararo arrives in Barcelona convinced that he has made progress, aiming to continue the good moment he had in France: ‘It is a GP sponsored by Monster Energy, so the team is fully motivated. Barcelona is also one of my favorite circuits – I have had some very good races here, especially in 2022. We made progress with the setting in Le Mans, so let’s see if we can achieve some good results this weekend‘.
In his previous five seasons in MotoGP, Quartararo achieved two victories and a podium in Barcelona, being at that same circuit where in 2018 he won for the first time in a world championship when he was in Moto2.
