Back to MotoGP racing this weekend Barcelona will host another GP with a home feeling for Augusto Fernández, who is confident of getting a good result after a less positive weekend in Le Mans.
The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider previewed the next round, the sixth of the season: ‘I’m excited to go to Montmeló this week, a home GP for me. After Le Mans, the results haven’t been what we wanted, but there were some positive points because I feel better with the bike and my riding. Barcelona is a track I like, we had a good result last season, so I can’t wait to start working on Thursday’.
His team will also have a special feeling racing in Catalonia: ‘We will also be on GASGAS territory, so I’m excited to race there and enjoy the atmosphere of the Catalunya Grand Prix’.
In 2023, Fernández was 17th in the Sprint race and 9th in the long race on Sunday.
