The tests of the Women’s Circuit World Championship (WorldWCR) in Cremona ended this afternoon. Ana Carrasco, the 2018 Supersport 300 world champion, was the fastest, being the only one to lap in 1m41s.
Times improved in the last session, and the Spanish rider from Evan Bros. Racing Yamaha Team completed her fastest lap in an impressive 1m41.446s in the seventh and final session. Roberta Ponziani (Yamaha Motoxracing) had led in the morning, but this time she finished second in the afternoon and overall for the day, 0.675s behind Carrasco.
Third place went to Sara Sánchez (511 Terra&Vita Racing Team), followed by Beatriz Neila (Ampito Pata Prometeon Yamaha) and Adela Ourednickova (DafitMotoracing) who closed out the top five. Both worked during this test with Jonathan Rea’s MotoGP chief mechanic, Andrew Pitt.
WorldWCR will now return to action from June 14 to 16, already at the opening round in Misano. The first season in the history of the championship will have five other races, the last of which will be in Aragon. There will also be stops in Donington Park, Portimão, Hungary, and Cremona.
