The Ducati Lenovo Team and Borgo Panigale have a very complicated decision ahead: Who will be Francesco Bagnaia’s next teammate?
Carlo Pernat, agent of Enea Bastianini, commented on the possibilities that exist and spoke about Ducati’s situation, according to www.motosan.es.
– Ducati’s decision, which will probably come after the Mugello GP, is blocking everyone: KTM, Aprilia, and Yamaha. At the moment, no one wants to make contracts, maybe there are verbal agreements, which have the value they have. I understand Ducati because they have three very strong riders and if at first they thought of keeping two riders, now their mindset has changed. I have the impression that they want to keep two and, therefore, they will especially pressure Pramac, but Yamaha is pressuring Campinoti a lot. In these days there will certainly be talks, in my opinion, before Mugello Pramac will also decide what to do.
He also added about Martín’s performance, which may influence the decision of the Italian manufacturer: ‘It’s a possibility, if they decide on Jorge, in my opinion Ducati will make offers to Marc and Enea to stay with the factory bike in a satellite team. I think that’s the path they are following.’
