The past weekend was rich in competitions and Tom Vialle had many reasons to celebrate, as he was crowned the winner in the AMA Supercross 250 East.
In the final round of the competition, where both riders from the West and East zones were battling at Rice-Eccles Stadium, the fastest was Haiden Deegan who still had a mathematical chance of becoming champion but did not solely depend on himself.
He did his part and won, leading all 18 laps in the main event and had to wait for a setback from Vialle which… almost happened: the Frenchman finished eighth and thus did almost the “bare minimum” to win his first title in the category, as he is in his second year in America after shining in Europe in the MX2.
Vialle would eventually be crowned champion despite being over 25s behind Deegan, who ended up 4 points behind the opponent in the championship, with Coty Schock securing third place in the overall standings by beating Pierce Brown by just one point, also mainly due to his performance in the last race of the season.
