Marc Márquez already has two podiums aboard the Ducati Desmosedici GP23. The eight-time world champion finished in second place at the Spanish and French MotoGP GPs.
With that, he is currently third in the championship with 89 points – two less than the champion of the last two years, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), after beating the Italian in a direct confrontation in Le Mans.
An impressive trajectory for Márquez, who despite having his talent widely recognized has come from very difficult years after physical problems and the decline in competitiveness of Honda.
Furthermore, until this year he had only known one manufacturer and one team in the premier class, so he had to adapt to a very different reality. An adaptation that seems to have been quick until strong results arrived.
Gigi Dall’Igna, general manager of Ducati Corse, was asked by the championship’s official website if he expected Márquez to be at this level after only five rounds. In response, he stated: ‘You know, he is Marc Márquez, so it is certain that he can do something like this and he did it‘.
