Sylvain Guintoli former MotoGP rider talked about the performance of two of the three riders who stood on the podium, Marc Márquez and Jorge Martín who finished in the first two positions overall.
According to Crash.net, Guintoli commented on Márquez’s overtake on Francesco Bagnaia on the last lap which secured him the second position.
– It was the old instincts. He saw the gap and went for it. I’m not sure how he turned the bike. He was coming so fast, and from so far away… Normally, you go forward and do what Enea Bastianini did. But he did well and avenged himself from Jerez.
He also added, comparing the 23 version of Marc and the 24 version of Martín: ‘The bike is pretty close, in terms of performance, but it’s a 2023 bike. His adaptation is definitely done now. How confident was he on the braking zone? He said he had to be careful with how he handled the bike on entry because that’s the biggest difference compared to the Honda. With Honda, his riding style was generating lap time. With Ducati, he can’t do that.’
