Once again, Ducati was the big protagonist of the MotoGP French GP. Yesterday’s main race in Le Mans had three bikes from the Italian manufacturer in the top three positions.
Having many bikes in the top positions gives more guarantees of good results… but also the risk of losing success due to incidents between riders from the same manufacturer.
In this case, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) was the winner, with Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) in second after overtaking Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) on the last lap after an intense three-way battle.
Gigi Dall’Igna, general manager of Ducati Corse, watched everything from the garage… and the nervousness was anything but low. The Italian stated to the official MotoGP website:
– It wasn’t easy for me to watch this type of race. And I definitely don’t know if I can make it to the end of the season, because my heart is really, really under stress! [laughs].
