One of the current topics in MotoGP is the new rules for 2027, which were presented last week. There are various opinions among the riders, with the restriction of aerodynamics or the end of holeshot devices being two important aspects.
According to the recently presented regulations, Marc Márquez believes that the changes could be for the better. The Gresini Racing rider stated in a press conference:
– I was joking before with a Spanish journalist, like, “we don’t know where we’ll be in 2027”. Of course, I checked out the new rules a bit, didn’t go into deep details, but it seems to be more focused on the show, a bit more restrictions on the technical aspect, and I think this is good for the riders.
Márquez then explained why he likes this direction: ‘Because ultimately if you have fewer technical things on the bike, the rider can make more of a difference and the value of the rider will be better. So, you will look at the rider. This is something I like; they followed this a bit in Formula 1 last year. So, let’s see‘.
