Yesterday Brad Binder had some issues with lack of grip in Le Mans and his memories for the next GP are not exactly the best since he did not finish the race on Sunday, in 2023. The trick is, he assured, to manage the tires well.
After some grip issues in Le Mans, which were not ideal for him, Binder was asked about it for the next GP, in a couple of weeks, in Catalunya, and if he is concerned about it, he said: ‘Actually no. Last year in Barcelona… I didn’t finish the race there, it doesn’t bring me good memories but the Sprint was good, I finished fourth and was fighting for the podium. The big issue in Barcelona is to make the rear tire last until the end, and the front one. All bikes are super aggressive with the tires at the moment, so maybe it can be good, we’ll see’.
If he had problems with chattering this weekend, the South African clarified: ‘We had a little, but it was nothing like Jerez, definitely not a limiting factor here’.
The KTM superstar finished fourth in the Sprint and retired from the main race after seven minutes of the restart, last year.
