After a quarter of a century of exclusive fidelity to the ‘road-book’, the Portugal de Lés-a-Lés will, in its 26th edition, receive a huge technological innovation, with a system that combines the practical sense of electronic navigation assistance with the richness of detail of the eternal itinerary booklets. The historical and natural details that have always accompanied the adventurers in the event organized since 1999 by the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation will continue to exist on paper, but will now also have an electronic version.
Revolution in the form of the electronic application DMD2, created by the Portuguese company Thork Racing, and which, in 2024, will be available only for devices with the Android operating system, whether smartphones or tablets. It is an electronic navigation aid and not a common GPX file, which will bring together the best of both worlds.
