In other words, brakes are crucial to the design of sport bikes and it’s useful if they can combine power with lightness and an excellent feel – something that Brembo has always been fully aware of.
The Italian manufacturer has now designed a new performance-oriented caliper set, called “Hypure,” which is designed to be 10% lighter and more efficient than the market leaders.
With the calipers being unveiled for the first time at the Eicma fair in Milan late last year, the Italian company has now confirmed, according to MCN, that they will debut as standard equipment on a yet-to-be-named performance bike this year. Besides being lighter than the competition, they are also said to reduce the amount of brake pad wear – which means less frequent changes and better environmental credentials.
