Pedro Acosta finished the Le Mans GP early after suffering a crash on the second lap. The Spanish rider entered the corner too fast and ended up losing the front end when trying to overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio. Acosta remains in fifth place in the MotoGP world championship.
In the debrief, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider talked about his race incident.
“We had a good start, but we need to analyze what happened with the front end, I didn’t want to hit Aleix, I was going very fast when I tried to stop and the front end locked up. The potential of the bike today was very high, the team was working all night to fix the issues we have in the rear and today it was working very well. Ducati has something more, but it’s not new, it comes from the past, but we are getting very close. Falling here again is becoming a tradition, but anyway, it is what it is. Every season we come here we are fast, but we can make mistakes.”
Asked about the weekend overall, Acosta replied: “We were fast in FP1, in PR, in qualifying in FP3, in the Sprint we got points, the biggest problem was getting data in the Warm Up, for me the KTM we had here was the best so far in the championship. We have confidence in the bike, we are not falling much, it was the first time, we are on the right track and we are closer to the other riders. Today I had many problems to be an inspiration to others.”
