Trackhouse Racing made its debut this year in MotoGP, but its two riders are at the end of their contracts. Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández have not yet defined their future and there is speculation that at least one of them may leave to make way for Joe Roberts. However, team boss Davide Brivio seems to prefer to keep things as they are.
The Italian stated to the championship’s official website broadcast this Saturday that there are ambitions to make Trackhouse Racing a force in the field: ‘To be very honest, as Trackhouse we have our own ambitions in terms of trying to establish a good team, capable of fighting for the best possible position. So, we are also looking at how to improve the team, how to make it grow, how to always make it better – not necessarily to develop young riders for Aprilia‘.
Although not ruling out developing young riders, Brivio emphasized that he is happy with Fernández and Oliveira, believes in their possibilities, and intends to keep the team as it is:
– Of course, it is always interesting, exciting, and passionate to bring young riders and develop them – I have done it a few times in my previous experiences and it is very exciting. When it works, you find great talents and then it is good; otherwise, you try to go for the best possible riders for the result. Starting with Miguel and Raúl – they are quite talented, they have experience, so they have all the possibilities to do well. At the moment, we would like to continue like this, looking for better results each time.
