Maverick Viñales finished the MotoGP French Grand Prix Sprint race where he started, in third place. He just couldn’t beat Jorge Martín (Pramac/Ducati) and Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati), getting involved in the fight against the Ducatis.
The Aprilia rider told the official broadcast: ‘It was a fantastic race, thank you very much! […] It was a tough race, to be honest, I expected much more pace, but now we need to check in the garage’.
Regardless, Viñales enjoyed the result and performance, as he stated: ‘Third place is fantastic, fighting against the Ducati squad. So I was happy to be here and to learn a lot for tomorrow, trying to fight at the front’.
Finally, the rider addressed the fans in Le Mans: ‘I hope you enjoyed the Sprint race a lot and let’s see if we can have a better race tomorrow. Let’s go!’.
