Happy overall. That’s how Francesco Bagnaia feels after qualifying in Le Mans, with the Ducati rider saying he feels very comfortable on his bike and is confident he has the speed to perform well.
The Italian first stated that he was okay after the fall in Q2, and then he expressed his overall happiness with his performance in the session: ‘I’m okay. The good thing is that the feeling [with the bike] is great and I was finally fighting for pole position, but… well, I just lost the front in turn nine, I was pushing too hard and touched the white line a bit. I’m happy overall’.
Bagnaia is confident that he has everything to perform well despite being on the front row with two other very fast riders: ‘The lap was amazing and so was the pace with used tires. I’m in the middle of two guys who have a great pace, but I think we are fast enough’.
