The start of the MotoGP season has not been easy for Jack Miller. The Red Bull KTM rider has not been able to keep up with the pace of his teammate Brad Binder or rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) and has only one top five finish, currently sitting in 14th in the championship.
It is in this context that he approaches the French GP now – after a retirement in Jerez that left him without points for the second time this season. The Australian commented in the preview to the Le Mans round:
– I’m looking forward to this. It’s one of my favorite tracks on the calendar, so I’m happy to be back here. I’m looking forward to a good weekend. We see that the weather seems to be good, but it’s Le Mans, so you never know.
After the difficulties of the first four Grand Prix races, Miller remains confident, as he emphasized: ‘The test on Monday was good. As I always said, we just need to get things going and I feel like I have everything to have a good weekend and start with some reasonable results. We have been working hard, me and the team, so we hope that this weekend is the one where we start properly‘.
