Team Honda HRC had an exceptional performance last weekend in Denver at the AMA Supercross 450, with the Lawrence brothers taking the top spots on the podium and, once again, with Jett achieving victory for the eighth time this year in his rookie season in the category.
The rider heads into the final round of the championship with over 20 points more than the second-placed competitor, which means he is very close to completing the cycle of victories in the 450 categories (since he also won the AMA Pro Motocross 450 in 2023).
‘It’s an incredible achievement to get my eighth win in my rookie season, but the big story of the night is Hunter and I finishing first and second, being the first brothers to accomplish that!’ said in a team statement, as he followed behind his brother until halfway through the race, then passing him with the championship in mind:
‘Hunter was keeping a very good pace throughout the race, but I knew I had to get those extra points for the next weekend. It felt like we were at home in the Dog Pound [training facility] throughout the race, just Hunter and I one behind the other.’
