Jo Shimoda was the highlight of the night in Denver, counting for the penultimate round of the AMA Supercross 250 West zone. The Team Honda HRC rider got the holeshot and led all laps.
Shimoda was the fastest in the main event of the night at Empower Field at Mile High and achieved an important victory that still allows him to mathematically dream of the category title even though he has to wait for a bad night from those ahead of him in the standings, as he is in fourth place.
Levi Kitchen was second and RJ Hampshire third, with this being precisely the front duo in the championship and equal in points.
The first to miss out on the podium spots was Nate Thrasher, ahead of Jordon Smith.
In the overall standings, there are two riders at the front and equal in points, both with 186 points: Levi Kitchen and RJ Hampshire, although Smith (165) and Shimoda (163) can still reach the title but it does not depend solely on them.
