On the past Sunday, Marc Márquez stepped onto the podium of the Spanish GP, in what was his first top three result in a main race since moving to Gresini and to a Ducati bike.
The second place in Jerez came after an exciting battle for the win with Francesco Bagnaia from the official team. A backstage video of the celebrations has now been revealed, showing the good relationship already forming between Márquez and Ducati.
In fact, Ducati Corse’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, reached out to the rider for a warm handshake, while director Davide Tardozzi had a brief conversation and, after some humor, stated to Márquez: ‘I told him [Bagnaia] that fighting with an eight-time world champion is tough, but you put on a great show, to be honest!’
In the video, which we share below, it’s also possible to see the atmosphere of great excitement and good spirits inside the Gresini garage. It’s a good moment for Márquez, who is back to performing well and is only 32 points away from the championship lead.
