It will not be one, not two, but three rounds of the MXGP Motocross World Championship in Spain this year. The last spot on the calendar was confirmed, with Castilla La Mancha hosting on September 28 and 29.
In addition to MXGP, the MX2 World Championship and the EMX125 and EMX250 European Championships will also be in action. Currently, Spain is experiencing success in MXGP, with Jorge Prado having been champion last year and leading the 2024 season.
In March, intu Xanadù hosted the MXGP of Spain, while on May 11 and 12 it will be the turn of the MXGP of Galicia in Lugo, before this round in Castilla La Mancha. It will be the last of the year, where champions can be crowned.
The track is described by the official championship website as ‘challenging and diverse, featuring spectacular jumps and tight corners‘, promising to push the riders to their limits.
Although it arrived on the calendar at a late stage, it is a project aimed at solidifying the region’s connection to global motocross for many years in the future.
