Still without a contract with anyone for the next season, Maverick Viñales ensures that there are some options on the table and ‘interesting projects’ as an option, but his focus is only on what he can do at the moment and that is very clear: be fast and try to always be among the fastest riders.
Viñales is one of the riders who has already managed to win this season, in Austin, and in statements to TNT Sports he guaranteed that his mentality is always to ride well and be competitive: ‘The key is to be fast. We are aware that in some circuits others will do better, but we will always try to finish among the top five. That should be our mentality’.
Some rumors, already from the end of 2023 and not long ago, pointed Honda (again) as interested in hiring the Spanish rider and, given the fact that he is still not “secure” at Aprilia, some ‘interesting’ options have already been presented to him, but his mind is on what he can currently do on the track:
– There are options on the table. I have interesting projects, but for now I am thinking about the present. Whenever I can have weekends like Austin or Portimão, my position in negotiations strengthens. I am not worried, I just think about performing well on the track.
