Brad Binder said goodbye to MotoGP tests in Jerez with the sixth best time of the day and revealed that KTM didn’t have much to work on, even though they had prepared a new aerodynamic package in addition to some work to make the bike more stable at the rear.
In statements to the press, the South African revealed how his day went: ‘The day was very cool, we continued from where we left off in the race. To be honest, we didn’t have many things to test. We had a complete aerodynamic package, which was good, and as usual with aerodynamic material, it’s about adding as much data as possible to then try to bring the next update’.
There were positive points, and others not so good as usual, and the team started working on the rear of the RC16: ‘There were some very good parts with the new one, others were lacking a bit and we were struggling a bit, but yeah, the only good improvement we made was just adjusting things with the rear shock absorber, we managed to make the bike more stable, which was cool. Other than that… it was a calm day’.
After this Sunday’s race, remember, Binder complained of having suffered from a vibration problem he had never had before, and immediately KTM seems to have worked to “attack” the issue.
