Jack Miller finished the Jerez GP outside the points. The Australian rider had a race incident with Franco Morbidelli that ended up taking both riders out of the race.
Tempers flared between the two riders with Jack Miller being held back by a marshal while arguing with Morbidelli after causing the Australian rider’s crash. In the debrief, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider talked about the race and what was going through his mind when he was out of the Jerez GP.
– ‘It wasn’t the day we wanted, I tried to keep up with the pace of the front riders because I was feeling comfortable. Unfortunately, Franco decided to try to overtake me and the result wasn’t the best. I don’t know if we have a black cat or if we have to climb a ladder at this point, but we are having a lot of difficulties to progress, luckily we have a test tomorrow that will be good for us.’
Asked about the heated tempers after the crash with Franco Morbidelli, Jack replied: ‘I didn’t get mad at anyone afterwards, I didn’t want to punch him or anything like that, I was just frustrated and Franco was telling me what I had done to him yesterday, but maybe he mistook me for someone else, I don’t know. It is what it is.’
