Miguel Oliveira completed the first free practice of the MotoGP Spanish GP in 15th place. The Trackhouse Racing rider never made it into the top ten of the session, where preparation is the focus and lap times that don’t count for anything.
Starting the session with a lap where #88 was in 17th position, entering the pits after the second flying lap. As a result, he dropped to 24th – only ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) who was still in the garage.
Just over ten minutes later, Oliveira began the second sequence of laps, and despite an immediate improvement, he was at the back of the field. He progressed to 18th and later to 11th.
After four laps, he returned to the pits when he was in 12th place and about halfway through the session. Rejoining the track with fifteen minutes to go, the rider was already 13th. Unable to improve, he dropped to 14th and when he made progress in lap time, he couldn’t go beyond that position.
Until the end, Oliveira never set a better time and lost a position, finishing the session in 15th. He was 1.419s behind the leader, Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
