With several riders nearing the end of their contracts, there is a lot of speculation surrounding the MotoGP market for next year. Some renewals have already been confirmed, but all factory teams have at least one spot to fill.
In the case of Aprilia, they have two spots open since they do not have any riders under contract yet. Recently, one of the rumors that circulated was the possible arrival of… Marc Márquez.
The eight-time world champion moved to Gresini this year with a contract until the end of the season. There, he rides a last year’s Ducati and is in a satellite team, with his main goal being to assess if he can still be competitive.
Maverick Viñales, currently at Aprilia, was asked in a press conference about the possible move of Márquez to the Noale team. In response, #12 stated:
– I haven’t heard about this. If we are hearing this rumor, it means we are doing a good job. I see him more in Ducati than anywhere else. It’s too early to even think about it.
