In his first season with Monster Energy Yamaha in MotoGP, Álex Rins is far from the results he has achieved before. After three rounds, he is 19th in the championship and has only scored points once, although it is also true that at this point the priority is to develop the bike rather than focus on immediate results.
The Spaniard started by commenting: ‘I am looking forward to competing in front of the crowds at Jerez again, because they create a truly pleasant atmosphere‘.
After the work done with the YZR-M1 at the Americas GP, Rins believes that it will be possible to make changes to the work direction, thanks to the data obtained that allowed to see what didn’t go well:
– Last time in Austin, we decided to try some new things during the warm-up and the race, but they didn’t work. Now we know. We did a good analysis on the data from the third round and learned from it, and now we can work in a different direction. We also have an extra test day on Monday that will help us with this.
