Miguel Oliveira is in his sixth season in the MotoGP World Championship. Although he has already shown that he has the ability to win races – he has five victories – he has not yet done so consistently. This year he is with Trackhouse Racing and rides an Aprilia RS-GP, which has proven to be one of the bikes with the most potential.
The Portuguese told journalist Pedro Pinto on the podcast 1 PARA 1 that he is determined to be world champion and is with one of the strongest manufacturers today:
– My goal is to be world champion, that is clear to me. I need to have the conditions of the bike. The bike at the moment… I think there are three manufacturers quite competitive in the championship right now: one is Ducati, the other is KTM, and the other is Aprilia. I am with one of these three great manufacturers that are currently the most competitive.
In Oliveira’s opinion, there are aspects that can be improved, and some luck is also necessary: ‘I believe there are still things in my team that I can improve. And the rest is a bit of luck – which I lacked a lot last year. And I think that, with that, you will get closer and closer to that reality. Then it’s about scoring points and doing the math at the end of the year‘.
