Pedro Acosta is the rising star in MotoGP. He already has two podiums in three Grand Prix races and promises not to stop here. Jorge Lorenzo has praised him more than once, and spoke well of the rookie again.
The former rider stated at an event, quoted by the website Motosan.es, that the young Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rider has similar characteristics to other riders:
– What Pedro is doing is a mix of all. He has a bit of charisma and shine, the naturalness of [Valentino] Rossi off the track, in his own way because he is not the same. He is quite warm, has that impertinence and that thinking big and not being complexed by anyone. And, for example, unlike [Marc] Márquez he doesn’t like to crash much because if we notice, he is not crashing much and that is the difference between them.
However, Lorenzo believes that Acosta has similarities to Márquez and also… to Casey Stoner, in terms of riding style: ‘He also has things from Márquez because he has a lot of heart. He has a bit of Stoner, he reminds me a lot physically in the way of riding, the body posture on the bike is very similar to his. In fact, if you put Stoner’s suit and bike, it would be difficult to separate them. But he has a bit of everyone‘.
