Honda is facing a tough period in MotoGP and Joan Mir is still one of the only two riders who have not scored points this season. In his first round at home, the former world champion is not expecting a miracle in Jerez and wants to take small steps towards a better moment.
“I think arriving at a race like Jerez, where we have all the home fans to support us, will be a help after the tough weekend we had in Austin. ‘It’s important to put that behind us and continue working as we did at the beginning of the year to understand the bike’s capabilities this weekend,’ #36 said in a team statement, before ensuring that it is necessary to stay focused on what is possible and not overextend:
– We are realistic about what is possible, and we have to focus on making improvements and looking to do more in the future. It’s a matter of step by step, of making constant progress and we cannot expect a big leap at this stage.
