Valentino Rossi retired from MotoGP and pursued a full-time career in car racing. This year, he reached one of the biggest stages on four wheels – the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Naturally, there are many differences compared to what he was used to in motorcycle racing. Firstly, there is much more teamwork with other drivers, especially because in endurance racing he shares the cockpit with two teammates.
But even off the track, the work and approach are very different. One aspect Rossi talked about on the official WEC YouTube channel, stating:
– MotoGP is unique. Here it’s much more of a team effort, especially with teammates in the same car. In car racing, you always have many meetings throughout the day, in motorcycle racing much fewer. Briefings, meetings, it’s hard work. But it’s good.
