Royal Enfield has been registering the name Guerrilla 450 for some time now, and speculation about a model that brings the Sherpa platform from the 452 – which debuted with the new Himalayan 450, to be more precise – to the Scrambler or Roadster world has been going on for some time, as well as the numerous appearances of prototypes in Europe and India that could reveal more than just a detail about the new motorcycle from the manufacturer based in Chennai.
The latest in time order is mentioned by Car and Bike, an Indian media, which even speculates the possibility that the official presentation of the model could take place this summer and thus see it for sale certainly as a 2025 model.
Technically, there should not be many differences between the Himalayan 450 and the hypothetical Guerrilla 450: in addition to the Sherpa engine with 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm, the frame would remain centered on the steel structure and would undergo changes in the front suspension and wheels. The fork, according to the prototype photos during testing, would be conventional and not USD, while the wheel diameter would be a classic 17 inches combination. The single rear shock absorber is confirmed, while the riding position and overall configuration of the motorcycle would be that of a roadster, with the question remaining of slight adjustments to the engine and final transmission to adapt them to the character of a roadster.
