Pedro Acosta continues to be the sensation of this MotoGP season. At the Americas GP, the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rider once again stepped onto the podium, this time in second place. And there is still plenty of room for improvement.
The rider stated in a press conference that he still does not know the limit of the bike: ‘Well, we are improving. We don’t know where the limit of the bike is at this moment – as you can see, I’m not crashing much. This means we have a path to follow‘.
As a rookie, Acosta and GasGas Tech3 focus on the development of the rider rather than the parameters of the bike, with the Spanish rider admitting that he has had the same setup since the first tests:
– Anyway, we are not really touching the bike setup, I have had the same setup since the Valencia test and we are only focused on how I ride the bike. Sometimes I have moments similar to the Moto2 style, sometimes I may have a bit of tire locking, that is a completely different mindset compared to the [tires] Dunlop of Moto2 to these Michelin of MotoGP. So, we are trying to work more on myself than on the bike and trying to find my limit.
