Saturday of the MotoGP Americas GP was quite complicated for Francesco Bagnaia. The second free practice was encouraging, but from qualifying and in the Sprint race the pace was far from expected.
In the Sprint, the Ducati man fell behind right at the start, spent a long time in tenth place, and only in the final laps managed to reach the points positions – he finished eighth at the finish line.
The result and performance were completely below expectations, as is easy to notice. Still, Bagnaia ruled out making radical changes to the bike: ‘It is certain that on Saturday everything was so bad that we will not change anything. Because maybe we change the rear and start to do well‘.
In the main race, Bagnaia will start from fourth position. The champion of the last two seasons currently occupies fourth place in the championship, 28 points behind leader Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
