With the motorcycling season in full swing and only forecasts of better weather, this is the best time to hit the road (and the trails). It’s also the best time to get your kids on two wheels, as motorcycling can be a family activity.
Fortunately, current manufacturers have made it easier for children to access the two-wheeled motorized lifestyle. We’ve already talked about several e-bikes for kids from big names like KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas, but this time, another key player in the enduro world has introduced another e-bike for kids.
Italian off-road specialist Beta has some of the most performance-focused, not to mention most expensive, enduro bikes on the market. It has established itself as a benchmark brand in the industry, and now, young riders can make their first bike a Beta, thanks to the E-Kinder Race electric off-road bike. Beta says this is the “perfect choice for adventurous kids who love outdoor riding.”
From a design perspective, the E-Kinder Race looks more like a bicycle than a motorcycle, as it uses a diamond frame. However, it elevates its off-road capability to a higher level with a full suspension system that mimics that of a motorcycle. The frame itself is made of aluminum alloy, and the bike has wheels of various sizes, depending on your child’s age.
Overall, Beta offers the E-Kinder Race in three variants. The E-Kinder Race 16, as the name suggests, has 16-inch wheels and is suitable for children aged six to nine. It is equipped with a 36-volt, 500-watt motor, giving it a maximum speed of 28.9 km/h. At six years old, I would have been thrilled to have a bike like this.
Next, the Beta E-Kinder 18 has slightly larger wheels, making it suitable for taller children aged eight to 11, and is equipped with the same motor, offering the same performance indicators.
Lastly, but not least, older children, aged 10 to 16, can opt for the E-Kinder Race 20. With its 20-inch wheels, it prepares young people for both enduro motorcycling and mountain biking, eliminating the boundaries between the two disciplines. The Beta E-Kinder Race 20 stands out even more with a more powerful 750-watt motor and a higher maximum speed of 33.7 km/h.
