Another motorcycle manufacturer has succumbed to the sector’s turbulent times and entered administration: Mutt Motorcycles, based in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in 2013 by Will Rigg and Benny Thomas.
According to MotorcycleNews, the company struggled with low demand for its products – primarily small-displacement motorcycles with a retro style.
David Shambrook and Matthew Ham, from RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP, were appointed as joint administrators on March 3. They are now in talks with potential buyers for Mutt Motorcycles’ stock of bikes and parts, as well as the brand itself.
Meanwhile, several employees have been made redundant following the administration process. Operations are currently halted, meaning that sales, warranties, and repairs cannot be processed at this time.
