Antonio Jiménez is one of Aleix Espargaró’s technicians and in statements, according to Motosan.es, talked about newcomer Pedro Acosta who has impressed everyone, and about the importance of having Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández developing the RS-GP.
Jiménez began talking about Pedro Acosta: ‘The great champions, those who appear once every ten years, overcome obstacles with remarkable ease. This child analyzes, digests, and solves problems in the blink of an eye. A young man like Acosta, coming from Moto2, reaches 350 km/h, takes huge corners, and finishes the race not only physically intact, but also happy… It’s something else’.
Regarding the evolution of collaborations with satellite teams, namely Trackhouse Racing, Jimenez states that Pramac is the example to follow.
– ‘We need to strengthen our satellite team to be as competitive as the official one. Oliveira already has the 2024 bike and Raul will have it soon. The idea is to become hypercompetitive, both at the official level and at the satellite level’.
Finally, he concluded and praised Aleix Espargaró for all the dedication he has shown over the years in service of Aprilia Racing: ‘It was Aleix who built the Aprilia we know. When things were tough, he never gave up. We fought for every point, to be among the top ten, to be on the front line. We fought everything together and we succeeded’.
