Fabio Quartararo’s renewal with Yamaha has created new perspectives for the rider market for the year 2025. Ducati will now have to manage Jorge Martín’s situation, as the Spanish rider has already stated that he will not stay at Pramac in 2025, along with Enea Bastianini’s situation. The Italian rider has not yet renewed with the factory team and there are several rumors about a move to rival Aprilia Racing.
Martín’s future now seems to be with Ducati, unless Aprilia makes him an irresistible offer. It seems that Jorge Martín wants to become a factory rider and could join Bagnaia at Ducati.
Martín’s situation at Ducati raises questions about the future of Enea Bastianini, as well as Marc Marquez. Bastianini, back in form in 2024, seems solid at Ducati and finished second behind Martín at the Portuguese GP. Bastianini has also proven to be a valuable ally for Bagnaia.
However, the presence of Marc Marquez, considered by many as one of the greatest MotoGP riders of all time, adds an extra dimension to the situation.
We will keep an eye on all the news and rumors in the MotoGP rider market for 2025.
