A Republic of Bikers, a motorcycle modification shop based in Kochi, has revealed its latest build, a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 transformed into a stunning flat tracker. The bike is also the first Himalayan 450 to debut in a race at Kakkor.
For this build, the Himalayan 450 was significantly stripped down to reduce weight. At the front, the headlight, turn signals, and instrument cluster were removed. The tank grilles and crash guards were also taken off. The seat used is a custom racing seat from Vendetta – The Project, a automotive design studio specializing in custom motorcycle seats. Lastly, the rear section was shortened and the structure housing the taillight and turn signals was removed.
Furthermore, the addition of a RaceDynamics FuelX Pro+ ECU significantly improved the bike’s acceleration, making it more suitable for racing. Other modifications include Reise TorqR tires for better grip on the dirt track.
The Himalayan 450 is Royal Enfield’s only ADV offering, comes with a liquid-cooled 452cc single-cylinder engine, named Sherpa. The engine is Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled engine and produces 40 hp and 40Nm of torque.
